We are a group of parents and carers who've come together to support, gain experience and make new friends with others who have infants/children suffering with reflux. We arrange local get togethers, have fun and support each other when times get tough. So please don't suffer alone, you can ...

Our support group can only be viewed by registered members, so if you wish to post or offer advice you have a little more privacy than on an open network. You can become a member by entering our community above and following the 'Sign Up Now'. Membership is free of charge.

Living with reflux code of conduct

On registering to become a member of LWR's Community Network (CN) you understand that: :

    We are here to complement and support the work that the medical profession do, and their medical opinion should always be taken before, and beyond any information received within the network.

    Please do not name medical professionals or slander any member of the medical profession when writing posts with in our CN. (Posts to this effect will be immediately removed).

    We ask you to please read through your posts before submitting them to make sure they are worded in a respectful manner, to ensure they are worded appropriately and tactfully. You should treat others within the community with the respect and dignity that you would expect for yourself.

    That tensions and frustration levels can run high especially with reflux. Please remember that we all want the same, and it can also be hard and frustrating for medical professionals too. Diagnosing reflux is not always easy and straight forward).

    In using our CN you will not post any information that is abusive, sexist, racist, threatening, or in any other way offensive to another member of the site, or the general public.

    We do not permit any content that is illegal.

    If you experience any problems or conflicts with others users of the site, you should contact a member of the management team at info@livingwithreflux.org

    That our network should not be used for recruiting members to other forums/networks. This includes posts, emails, and private messages (PM's). Any members sending PM's or email which contain spam or content that is in any way offensive, will be banned from the CN. Please forward emails or private messages that contain spam, inappropriate or abusive content to: info@livingwithreflux.org

    You should not post copyrighted material, unless you have personally written or created it yourself.

    Adverts or links that could be considered as advertising are not permited.

    Any person to person meeting organised though the network, is held at your own risk and Living with Reflux accepts no liability or responsibility.

    You as a member are solely responsible for the content of any post you send, and the managers of Living With Reflux do not except any responsibility or liability for said content or actions taken due to posts written in our CN.

    Users of this site are advised not to disclose personal details, to prevent any invasion of their privacy.

    We also do not recommend you give out any personal details by private messaging (PM), if you choose to do so, then this is at your own risk. We will not be able to intervene with problems/issues arising between members outside of the CN.

    In instances where the code of conduct is not adhered to managers of the site reserve the right to delete messages. In extreme cases of continued abuse of these site rules members may be banned.

    Remember no member of this site is medically trained unless otherwise stated, and any information given should be backed up by a Professional medical opinion. Advice provided is intended only to serve as support.
