Don't forget to promote your event in the local community via baby/toddler groups, local shops, local newspaper, Facebook etc.
How about a sponsored event for either yourself as an individual (or your child) or may be your toddler/preschool group would like to also join in to support LWR!
This could be as easy as a toddle around a local park, lake, woods, field etc. Maybe have an adult version as well with a longer distance.
Ideal for any age group, just get a dip in your hip and a jive in your side!
Just set a distance and get peddling with or without the babies!
Hide lots of little treats either in a hall or a field and see how many can be found in a set time. This can easily be set around a theme like the Hungry Caterpillar story where the children each have a large caterpillar cut out and need to find each piece of food to stick onto their caterpillar!
Either for the adults to set a distance or for the babies to have some fun by pushing a ball across a pool (with adult help maybe?) or completing a set number or water songs and rhymes in a set time.
Maybe you'd prefer to sell something ?
Would your local baby or toddler group support you in selling little cakes and biscuits at your
meeting?
Turn out that toy cupboard, wardrobe and garage and de-clutter in aid or LWR! You could even get a group of friends to do the same thing, hire a hall (many reduce their booking fees for charities) and make it into a table top sale.
A bit more organising but an enjoyable evening with high fundraising can be the result! Simply get your friends and family to promise their services such as special cake baked, a dinner cooked and delivered, babysitting, gardening, car cleaning, website built etc. Then book a hall and sell lots of tickets for people to attend and start the bidding for each "promise"
Do remember to let us know of any ideas of your own that we can add to this page and also how much money
you have raised so we can get the thermometer to the top! Just email mandie@livingwithreflux.org
